Our 2024 Stewardship Campaign

The Vision that brought us here

In May 2024, Emmanuel wrapped up a visioning process with Credence & Co. That process identified five strategic priorities. This Stewardship campaign comes from Priority 5.

Priority 1: Nurturing Connection
To nurture a deeper connection and welcome at Emmanuel.

Priority 2: Strengthening Faith
To grow in faith and the ability to talk about faith

Priority 3: Focus Outreach
To consciously name ministry to people who are marginalized as the centre of Emmanuel’s focus. This includes our ministry with Waterloo Wayside and Vera’s Place.

Priority 4: Right-size structure
Build a structure that matches who we are as a congregation today – in size, personality, and energy.

Priority 5: Discern Emmanuel’s future related to Building and Finances
Emmanuel will engage in an intentional stewardship campaign (not to be confused with a fundraising campaign) alongside narrative budgeting in order to strengthen the budget. This initiative will be led by a Stewardship Team.

What's your plan?

Fill a commitment form

Our community is nurtured by time, talent and treasure.  Our 2025 Commitment Form asks you to prayerfully consider how you and those around you will support Emmanuel in 2025.  If you did not receive one in church, download a pledge form here and bring it to the church in October.

Your presence changes things.

While money keeps the lights on, your presence in our community spreads light among others.  Options include committing to a change in giving in 2025, offering to be part of the hospitality crew on a Sunday morning, or offering to call or visit a member of the Emmanuel community outside of Sundays.

I look forward to calling other members of the church on a regular basis. Those conversations are a bright spot in my week.

Join the PARade

Pre-Authorized Remittance (PAR) form

You can ensure that Emmanuel and those who are helped through Mission and Service can count on your support by giving monthly through Pre-Authorized Remittance (PAR). Through an automatic monthly withdrawal from your bank account, PAR allows you to give to what matters to you most.

Sometimes life’s agenda takes over our best-laid plans. With PAR, you don’t have to worry about writing a cheque or forgetting to donate because life has thrown you a curveball. By signing up for PAR, you make a clear statement of what is important to you. You also give the recipients of your gift the peace of mind that comes with knowing your help is stable and reliable.

It’s really easy.

Using PAR allows our family to ensure that our donation regularly gets to Emmanuel, even when our family sleeps in.
