Waterloo Wayside Centre, an outreach program of Emmanuel United Church, requires an Outreach Supervising Coordinator. This is a 12 hours per week, Tuesday to Friday 12:30-3:30 p.m. position for six months. Responsibilities include oversight of program activities, providing program assistance as needed and resolving issues as they arise on a daily basis. This is definitely a hands-on position.
Our programs provide services to the precariously housed, people experiencing homelessness, seniors, and refugees.
Experience working with the marginalized community is required. Experience working with volunteers and a volunteer management group would be an asset. The successful applicant must be able to interact with a diverse group of individuals as demonstrated through superior communication skills. Applicants must be fully vaccinated for Covid 19. A Police Check for working with Vulnerable Populations is a requirement.
